Summary: The Third Wall plugin permits one or more variables for several of its policies. This document describes how to use Profiles to ensure all assignments are consistently applied throughout the environment. This KB will describe a solution for the Ransomware Monitor but the steps described here can apply to any Policy or collection of Policies.
Example: All remotes are running the Ransomware Monitor.
Action: Use Automate to create a new Location. Name it 'Temp Location' and open the Third Wall tab. Navigate to the Ransomware Monitor, turn it on and configure it as you want it for the entire environment. When done, navigate to the 'Security Overview' and press the green 'Save' button. Your Security Overview should now show one policy is enabled: the Ransomware Monitor
The next step is to create a new Profile based on this Location. To do this, press the 'Save Current Config as Profile' button. This will cause Third Wall to prompt for a Profile name. Enter that name and press 'OK' to save it.
Finally, we will load this profile and apply it to all computers. Press the pulldown under 'Select Profile' and choose your newly saved Profile. This will cause a blue border to draw around the current view:
Next, press the 'Apply Profile' button. This will launch a new window:
Assign 'All Clients' as the Target Selection..
..and press 'Save'. This will cause a confirmation dialogue to appear:
Select 'OK' to continue.
If Third Wall sees another environment with this policy enabled but configured differently, another confirmation dialogue will appear. This is simply asking to overwrite the values of all target Locations with the values applied to the Profile.
Select 'Yes' to continue.
A confirmation will appear:
Job done. All Locations are now both running the Ransomware Monitor and have identical settings assigned.
