Overview:  Many functions in Third Wall can be accomplished by script, including the removal of policy exceptions assigned to computers.  This KB article describes how to use the TW - Remove Computer Exception script.


Script Source:  This KB describes use of this https://license.third-wall.com/dl/tools/TW-RemoveComputerException.zip script and assumes the script is already installed in the Automate system.


Script Use: The first step is to set the target policy. This is done in the 'Globals and Parameters' tab. To begin, double-click the script in Automate. This will open the script in Edit Mode. Once open, press the 'Globals and Parameters' and edit the TWPolicyIndex value.


In the example below, exceptions to the Disable IGMP policy (2) will be removed:


Once the TWPolicyIndex value has been appropriately changed, save the script.


The next step is to identify the computers which have been assigned this exception.  Use the ThirdWallV2 - > Thirdwall Computer Exception List dataview and apply the appropriate filter to see the list:


With this list in hand, select the appropriate targets from which you want to remove the exceptions.  In this example, we'll select all computers:


Finally, right-click any of them and select the script to run:
