Insert USB Storage device into the computer.

 

Press the Windows key + R to open the run command, type wbemtest.exe and click OK.

When opened click “Connect” then “Connect” again.

On this screen click “Query,” paste in this command, and click "Apply."

Double click the returned result then click “Show MOF.” The recently inserted USB storage device should be the one with the highest number.

Scroll down to Media Type. If it shows anything other than “Removable Media” this policy will not work for this USB storage device.
