Alternative Account for Password Management Policies

Note: This policy will not create the alternate administrator account on the remote computers. The user account must already exist on the target computer before this policy is applied.

In Third Wall version 2568 and above, a new feature has been added to the Password Management policies that allow you to apply the password changes to an account other than the default, built-in local administrator account

On the System Dashboard \ Third Wall integration page, in Utilities, you can specify the alternative administrator account to be managed.

Once the alternate administrator account name has been assigned, an option will appear on the Third Wall location tab to enable it. If you do not create this account on the computers in the location to which you want to apply this option, you will get a ticket stating the account does not exist.

With the alternative name assigned and the ‘Use Admin Account Override Setting’ option checked, the policy will now manage the password for the alternative account and will not modify the Local Built-In Administrator account.
